The Kit List: cardboard barbecue

What is it?

Stop giggling. The CasusGrill is indeed made from cardboard — FSC-certified cardboard, no less. The reason it doesn’t turn into an eyebrow-singeing towering inferno is down to the granules of (naturally occurring) lava stone that line the barbecue tray, keeping the charcoal (made from bamboo) out of contact with the cardboard. Even the grill is made from skewers of bamboo — also nonflammable, apparently. So unlike those tinfoil, park-branding monstrosities, this one’s biodegradable.
